August 2026 Employee of the Month

We honor Karla Campos, Special Day Class Teacher-Moderate/Severe, Special Education - Sutherland Center, as the Employee of the Month for August 2026.

With 10 years of service at the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, including seven years as a classroom teacher, Karla exemplifies the very best of her profession. She is an exceptionally caring and dedicated educator who consistently puts her students and their families at the center of everything she does. She goes above and beyond to ensure that each student’s academic, social and emotional needs are met, often extending her support well beyond the classroom. Families deeply trust her, knowing she is a steady advocate for their children and a compassionate partner in their educational journey.

Karla’s calm and grounded demeanor is one of her greatest strengths. It allows her to build meaningful connections with students, families and colleagues, even in the most challenging situations. She creates a supportive, respectful environment where students feel safe, valued and capable of success. Additionally, her dedication extends to support staff because she is always willing to collaborate, mentor and lend a helping hand.

Karla represents the highest standards of Special Education and has made a lasting, positive impact on countless students, families, and colleagues.
