July 2026 Employee of the Month

We honor Jacob Pence, Lead Data and Analytics Specialist in Assessments & Data, as the Employee of the Month for July 2026.

Jacob has become an invaluable resource for both our organization and the school districts we serve. Through his expertise, patience, and commitment to supporting others, he has transformed the way data is understood and used to improve outcomes for students.

In his role supporting districts eligible for Differentiated Assistance, Jacob partners with educators and district leaders to strengthen data literacy and build confidence in using data to make informed decisions. He has a unique ability to meet people where they are. Whether they are new to working with data or experienced analysts, Jacob patiently equips them with the skills to become confident, capable stewards of their own data.

Over the past five years, has designed interactive dashboards with real-time data, trained district staff to effectively analyze and present information, and developed data presentations for teams across FCSS. He also played an important role in building the FCSS data analyst team, strengthening our ability to provide high-quality data support throughout Fresno County.

While Jacob's technical expertise is exceptional, it is his character that truly sets him apart. He is humble, approachable, kind, and always willing to help others succeed. Colleagues consistently leave interactions with Jacob having learned something new, feeling more confident, and better equipped to serve students.
