April 2026 Employee of the Month

We honor Laura Cortes de Staton, Infant Teacher in Special Education/Fresno Regional Infant Educators Nurturing Development & Services program, as the Employee of the Month for April 2026.

As an infant educator in our FRIENDS program, Laura goes above and beyond, serving as a mentor to newer teachers and an inspiration to those around her. She is dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging learning environment, and stands out for the way she incorporates her culture into her work. Through language, music, and storytelling, she builds meaningful, inclusive connections with students and their families, creating a motivating learning environment.

Laura consistently takes initiative to ensure every child receives individualized attention and guidance. Her commitment to lifelong learning is evident in her eagerness to grow her skills, not just for herself, but to better support her students and colleagues.

Laura is a true team player who uplifts those around her with kindness, patience, professionalism, and even motivational singing and dancing. Her “get-it-done” attitude, work ethic, and deep care for students make her an invaluable part of the team.
