Jacob Cavazos II - July Superintendent Superstar

Jacob Cavazos II, a standout senior at Career Technical Education Charter High School, embodies excellence, leadership and impact. As a gifted fabricator and artist, Jacob took first place in both the regional and state SkillsUSA Welding Sculpture competitions, and he will represent California at the national level an incredible accomplishment that reflects his exceptional skills and dedication.

He thrived during his internship at Advanced Metal Works, where he received advanced industry training and sharpened his welding skills. Beyond the workshop, Jacob has served his peers as student body president for two years, modeling for his classmates what it truly means to be an ambassador for CTEC and encouraging prospective students to follow in his footsteps. He also served as the student representative on the Fresno County Board of Education, using his voice to advocate for future of education.

His remarkable fountain installation at the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools a tribute to the many layers of influence in a student's educational journey captures not only his craftsmanship, but this deep appreciation for educators and the ripple effect they create. Jacob's vision has even reached beyond California; he was commissioned to create a sculpture for the Price Sculpture Forest in Washington. Thoughtful, creative and community-minded, Jacob is a young man already making a lasting impact.
