May 2025 Employee of the Month
We honor Lindsey Camacho, Special Day Class Teacher Moderate/Severe in the Special Education - Integrated Sites department, as the May 2025 Employee of the Month.
Lindsey teaches at Jackson Elementary in the Sanger Unified School District with our TK-3rd grade students in our Extensive Support Needs program. She excels as a special educator and mentor and has developed a solid instructional team in her classroom. Lindsey has high expectations for her paraeducators and has maintained excellent relationships with them, providing training and support to ensure they appropriately support students.
This year, Lindsey has taken on additional responsibilities by becoming an Induction Coach for first-year teachers and a Panel Member for the Peer Assistance & Coaching programs. In these roles, she reviews coaching logs and advices teachers who need more support.
In the classroom, Lindsey promotes a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment for students. She genuinely cares about them and fosters their development in all areas of life. Since most of her students are non-verbal, Lindsey encourages communication in other ways so they can express themselves and have their needs met, One of the most remarkable aspects of Lindsey's approach is her ability to build strong relationship with students, parents and colleagues. She takes the time to understand each student's strengths, challenges and interests, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Lindsey, you are an integral part of the Integrated Sites 1 program. You bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to support our students and families.
