Worsley Book Club

The Worsley School Book Club, located within the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Campus, comprises detainees attending the court school administered by our office at the facility. Initiated by teacher/librarian Michele Ogawa, the club, reestablished with the support of a grant from the American Library Association, focuses on connecting young readers with culturally diverse stories that resonate with their own experiences.

STEM for Girls

The STEM for Girls event at Fresno State was a hands-on, interactive learning experience that brought together 500 students from 5th to 12th grade. Through engaging activities like ink separation and rocket-making, the event aimed to show young minds the practical and exciting side of STEM fields. This event provided an inspiring platform for students to explore science and technology in a fun and creative way, igniting their passion for STEM subjects.
