Welcome.

The Fresno County School Trustees Association (FCTSA) is here to collaborate with school trustees across our county to preserve, advance and improve public education. Students are our priority as we work together to ensure our schools provide safe and supportive environments with high quality teaching for better student learning.

CSBA Regional X Director

Kathy Spate, CSBA Region X Director, serves as liaison between the California School Boards Association and Fresno County school board members. CSBA promotes success for all students by defining and driving the public education agenda and strengthening school board governance at the district and county level, as well as taking the lead on critical legislative issues in education.

The Board is comprise of a representative nominated from each unified district, each high school district and its feeder elementary schools, the Fresno County Board of Education, and both community college districts, for a total of 22 members.

Trustees Association General Membership Meetings

The Trustees Association sponsors three dinner meetings a year where trustees, district administrators, and guests have an opportunity to network and benefit from hearing informative and timely presentations. Past speakers include Olympic Gold Medalist Rafer Johnson, Darryl Scott, founder of Rachel’s Challenge, and California State University, Fresno Wide Receiver Coach John Baxter, founder of the Academic Game Plan. Meetings are scheduled for the third Tuesday in January, March/April, and October.
