Welcome Black

Fresno State is striving to increase African American student enrollment, although it has improved outreach efforts, with over 1,000 students admitted in 2022 but less than 200 enrolling. The university hosts events like the Welcome Black event to foster connections and introduce resources to students, both local and from outside the Central Valley, emphasizing the quality education and sense of belonging they can find there.
