Read Fresno

In Southwest Fresno, Kirk Elementary School extends learning beyond regular hours, as college students from the Read Fresno program step in to assist first and second graders with their reading skills. This after-school initiative, run by Every Neighborhood Partnership in collaboration with local schools, aims to address the pressing issue of low literacy levels. The program, currently operating in six school sites and planning to expand to eight by year-end, not only focuses on literacy but also aims to build meaningful relationships with the students.
