Nestled in the heart of downtown Fresno, the Lighthouse stands not only as a physical structure but as an innovative center for early childhood development, forging a vital alliance between First Five and the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools' Office. Serving as a pivotal training ground for aspiring early care teachers, the center spearheads efforts to elevate the standard of early education. Law enforcement officials, acknowledging the pivotal role of quality early learning in crime prevention, gather at the Lighthouse, advocating for increased funding and support, and emphasizing the direct connection between access to high-quality early education programs and a decline in crime rates.
