Behavioral Threat Assessment Training

Credentials

Credentials department provides learning opportunities to district staff on topics related to assignment monitoring, e-transcripts, Provisional Internship (PIP) requirements, School District Permit Requests and Affidavits, Temporary County Certificates (TCC) and others. Workshops are led by FCSS Credentials Department staff.

District Financial Services

District Financial Services provides training to district and county office personnel on various finance and accounting concepts. The workshops are run by either CASBO, Capitol Advisors, or School Services of California.

The English Language Arts team designs and provides professional learning, classroom modeling, and coaching services to schools and districts in support of the CA Literacy Standards, early comprehensive literacy, and Universal Design for Learning in grades PreK-12.

The Foster & Homeless Youth Education Services offers professional development and trainings to support districts and schools in serving our county’s most vulnerable student populations. Fresno County After School Programs

The Fresno County System of Support for Expanded Learning provides technical assistance to all After School Education and Safety (ASES) and 21st Century Community Learning (21st CCLC) Center Programs utilizing a variety of strategies.

The History-Social Science team provides comprehensive professional learning, classroom modeling, and coaching for schools and districts of PreK-12 students in support of the CA History Standards, the CA Literacy Standards for HSS, and the CA HSS Framework.

Human Resources provides learning opportunities to district and county office staff on topics related to labor relations, personnel management and leadership. Workshops are led by either FCSS Human Resources staff or external subject matter experts.

STEM @ FCSS provides opportunities for educators to grow and become more knowledgeable in their teaching and questioning. We come alongside teachers and administrators to build programs that make learning and education accessible for all students.

The Systems and Leadership Team provides coaching services and professional learning opportunities to support district and site level administrators around the 8 state priorities. Work will be grounded in capacity building around systems and structures resulting in high functioning districts, schools and classrooms.

Arts Education

The Arts Education Department provides instructional support and professional development for Arts Specialist Teachers, as well as General Ed. Teachers, who are working to integrate the arts into their classroom. We also offer curriculum development services for those interested in developing standards-based arts-enhanced or arts-integrated curriculum.
