June 2023 Employee of the Month

It is with pleasure that we honor Sandy Minter, Administrative Assistant in Special Education, as the June 2023 Employee of the Month.

Sandy has been with the Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools since June 2015. She served as Program Assistant and was promoted to Administrative Assistant in Student Services in the spring of 2022. Sandy always goes above-and-beyond in creative, intentional and thoughtful ways. She performs her job duties in an efficient, trustful and professional manner, but that isn’t the only reason Sandy is special. What sets her apart is what she does outside of her job description.

When anyone is away for a few days, Sandy volunteers to take care of their office plants. She has provided watering bulbs for everyone to use during longer vacations and office closures. She is also the go-to person for urgent office supplies. If you need an antacid, gum or even hairspray, Sandy has it! She has a candy jar that she graciously keeps filled for anyone passing by. If you ask for something she doesn’t have, it will be on your desk the next day. These are the small, but meaningful gestures that Sandy thoughtfully and selflessly gives to others.

She starts every day by checking with her supervisor and asking, “Do you need anything?” Sandy exudes kindness and professionalism in every action. Most importantly, Sandy is a good friend to all her co-workers and everyone in Team FCSS.
