Superintendent's Superstar: Student dedicated to Beautify Fresno

Chayse Mayhew is a senior at Central High School and a dedicated volunteer of Beautify Fresno. She started volunteering as an activity to do with her father and quickly found her joy in improving the community. She is now a regular participant in Beautify Fresno, picking up trash in the City of Fresno sponsored events to show pride in her city.

At school, Chayse plays varsity soccer and has played soccer since she was 5 years old, including for the club team Odyssey.

Chayse says her “great family” – mom, dad and brother, who is away at college – are essential to her success. She also loves playing with her dog, Sadie, a Welsh Corgi. Her future plans include attending college to study nursing.
