More than 500 students participate in Regional Science, Mathematics & Engineering Fair

More than 500 students in grades 6 through 12 participated in the Fresno County Office of Education’s 62nd Annual Central California Regional Science, Mathematics and Engineering Fair March 16-19 at the Fresno Fairgrounds. Students competed to take home ribbons, medals, trophies and one of 50 special awards.

The fair promotes an interest in and an excitement about science, mathematics and engineering, while offering a rewarding competitive setting in which students can showcase their research projects and set the stage for the rest of their academic careers.

The top four individual winners from the Senior Division will represent the regional fair at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Pittsburgh, PA, May 10-15. The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair is the world’s largest pre-college science competition for students in grades 9 through12.
