January Superintendent’s Superstar shines

Natalia Priolo is in fifth grade at Valley Oak Elementary School in the Clovis Unified School District. She is a busy young lady involved in many school activities, as well as volunteering regularly in her school’s PALS Preschool Autism class working with students on their peer social development. She has also participated in her school’s kindergarten special day class. She is a member of the peer mediation group, Wildcat Buddies, that volunteers during their lunch hour to help students resolve conflicts in a positive manner. Natalia is a member of the cheer squad and participates in sports. She is playing the part of Fiona in her school’s upcoming production of “Shrek, The Musical.”

Her volunteer work extends outside of school in several capacities. She is the youth spokesperson for The First Tee of Fresno, doing most of their radio and public speaking events at Copper River County Club. She has been a participant in their programs for several years. During the holiday season, Natalia volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House, serving meals to families and helping wherever needed. She regularly volunteers at Catholic Charities within the warehouse, organizing donations and then distributing items to families in need. For several years she has volunteered at the Valley Animal Center in their Cat House division.

Natalia is a well-respected, kindhearted and academically sound student that is a valuable contributor to the Valley Oak and Fresno communities.
