Regional Science Fair Celebrates 60th Year

The 60th Annual Central California Regional Science, Mathematics and Engineering Fair will be held March 11-14, 2013, at the Fresno Fairgrounds Commerce Building. Students in sixth grade through high school from throughout the region enter projects in a variety of categories in science, mathematics and engineering.

"Working on a science fair project introduces students to the scientific method and critical thinking skills they will need to succeed in the 21st Century," states Stephen Bock of the Fresno County Office of Education.

These students in grades 6-12 from public, private and parochial schools will strive to take home ribbons, medals, trophies and more than 100 special awards. The top projects from each grade are eligible to advance to competitions at the State and International levels.
