Parenting class helps families learn new skills

Fort Miller Middle School families were invited to attend six weeks of free parenting classes coordinated by the school in conjunction with the Fresno County Office of Education’s Parent Services Center. The classes teach parents strategies to improve their parenting skills at home, including sessions on creating healthy relationships, understanding child development and successful parenting styles. At the end of the course, participating parents received a certificate of completion at a special potluck held in their honor.
