Career Skills Challenge hosts more than 1,200 Fresno County students

More than 1,200 Fresno County high school students representing every facet of career technical education descended upon the Fresno City College campus in chef’s clothes, hard hats, robotics gear and more to compete in the Fresno County Office of Education’s annual Career Skills Challenge March 27.  The event allowed students to fully demonstrate their career skills and the strength of their programs while competing for gold, silver or bronze medals in 39 categories.

The Center for Advanced Research and Technology won the Grand Champion trophy for the school with the most combined medals. School division winners were Firebaugh High School (Sierra Division), Kerman High School (Sequoia Division) and CART (Yosemite Division).
