Paraeducator Exams @ FCOE How to Register

Please do not register for more than one (1) exam at a time, when you do it prohibits other co-workers the opportunity to sign up as well.

Please do not mail $7 for the Paraeducator exam, please bring the day of exam along with your photo ID and registration confirmation.

Application Requirements: Letter of Interest, Resume, Three letters of Reference & any supplements as noted on the job announcement. Which may include: typing certificate, CBEST, CA Credential, Transcripts or Licenses.

Application and Formal Letter of Interest: Reminder, both the application and the formal letter of interest must be signed by the applicant. 

Letters of Reference: The three letters of recommendation must be dated within eighteen  (18) months of the closing date of the position.

Typing Certificate: The typing certificate must be dated within one calendar year of the closing date of the position, it must be a five (5) minute timed test, from an authorized agency and the required typing speed is Net words per minute (which is the gross typing speed minus any errors).

CERTIFICATED POSITIONS (2009-2010 School Year)

Certificated positions are placed on the Teacher Salary Schedule $41,407 - $70,764 (unless otherwise noted) based on Post BA/BS units and years of experience, Masters and Doctorate Stipends. Please Note: The certificated application now contains a NCLB Teacher Requirements supplement, which is required with all application supplements on the deadline date noted below.



POSITION:School Nurse (Temporary Position) 2009 - 2010

LOCATIONS:Serving districts throughout Fresno County.
BASIC FUNCTION:Providing credentialed school nurse services to districts throughout Fresno County. Schedule is flexible depending on the needs of the district. School Nurse Services Credential preferred, but can be obtained while in the position.

To render health services to children in Fresno County Schools administered by the Fresno County Office of Education. The school nurse shall be responsible to the Director, Health Services
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors Degree; Experience in Public Health or School Nursing desired
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Valid California School Nurse Services Credential. Valid California R.N. and/or P.H.N. Audiology Certificate desired; Valid California driver’s license, incumbent must be insurable at the “standard rate” by the employer’s insurance carrier at all times while employed by the Fresno County Office of Education. This position requires the incumbent to enroll in the Department of Motor Vehicles Government Employer Pull Notice Program at time of hire.
