Mission Statement
Fresno County Office of Education
The Fresno County Office of Education
supports strong academic programs, career technical education, and
the arts as we work to create a culture rich society where the
whole child is important. FCOE will continue to provide support to
meet the challenges of the 21st Century and help our students
become successful in the new global economy.

FCOE Services
The Fresno County Superintendent provides
leadership, services, and technical assistance to all of the
county's school districts and charter schools, which encompass over
330 school sites. As a primary liaison between state, county
governments, and local school districts, the superintendent
provides students and educators with extensive educational programs
and support services.
Services are offered in the following areas:
The Fresno County Office of Education, by state
mandate, monitors and approves all local school district budgets.
With the enactment of legislation, these responsibilities have
expanded to include the review of budgets adopted by each school
district and in the monitoring of the districts' compliance with
these budgets as well as compliance with the Williams
Settlement.
