Educational Services

I am honored to serve as Deputy Superintendent for the Fresno County Office of Education. As a public servant and a lifetime resident of Fresno, I understand fully the responsibility and importance of helping each of our students to achieve their full academic potential. I have worked in both small and intermediate sized districts as a teacher, principal and district administrator and have seen firsthand, the value of connecting county office programs and services to the 34 districts we serve.

To that end, I believe it is our responsibility as educational leaders to provide exemplary standardized curriculum and career education training for all students. High expectations and positive role modeling by all is essential to the success of our young people. With more than 70 languages spoken and a vast array of cultures, Fresno is the melting pot of our great nation. This diversity offers both challenges and opportunities that we must embrace and shape in a positive fashion to help our students become productive citizens and future leaders.

The Educational Services Division works with school districts to ensure continued academic excellence and student success. As liaison between national, state, and local agencies, the department introduces suggested curriculum guidelines and offers training and resources for implementation.
