In September 2007, the Fresno County Office of Education engaged a cross-section of the community in the design of a comprehensive voluntary preschool plan for four year-olds in Fresno County.  With the assistance of consultant Dr. Karen Hill-Scott, we engaged more than one hundred community leaders, with representation from elected officials, businesses, civic/social and government agencies and preschool educators from public, private, and faith-based programs.
